Brand Study

A brand specialising in medicinal products presented as food or snacks sources its ingredients from Mallotus philippensis (commonly known as the red kamala or kumkum tree). This plant produces a red dye from its fruit covering, which is renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Design Concept

The concept centred around creating a logo that seamlessly integrates elements of food and medicine. It was designed using inspirations from a Toque hat and a capsule. The colour palette incorporates two shades of blue, inspired by Parabufen capsules, which are known for their paracetamol and anti-inflammatory properties, similar to those of Mallotus philippensis. The brand’s typography features fonts from Tailwind, selected for their minimalist and rounded aesthetic.
